Let's Go (eat cake)! Steamed cupcake (fat gou), radish cake (lo bak go), and glutinous rice cake (leen go) are ready to head into the new year in high spirits and high hopes! Cake is one of the most important auspicious dishes because cake in Chinese 糕/gou is pronounced the same as 高/gou, which means tall, high; symbolically it means growth and going higher in your endeavours.
